# Question

Can a request be linked to an order or an arbitrary business object, not just a client?

# Answer

Yes. Depending on the task, an object can be represented as an asset in Swarmica or a request can be linked to an object of an external system.

For an object within Swarmica, a suitable asset type is created — for example, 'Order,' 'Contract,' or 'Account.' Such an asset can be linked to a request, and its additional characteristics can be stored in custom fields.

If an order or another object is managed in a CRM, billing system, or your system, its identifier can be stored in an additional field, and data and required actions can be displayed through a web plugin.

Storing the identifier itself does not synchronize the lifecycle of the object. Updating data, statuses, and performing actions in the external system are configured separately through integration.
