# Creating and Inviting Employees

# Creating an employee

To create an employee, click **Create New**  button in the upper right corner of the **Settings - Employee management** section.

You can create an employee in one of two ways: add or invite. The choice will open after clicking **Create New**:

Let's look at the nuances of both options below.

## Create a user

This method is suitable for creating test accounts, as well as for cases when you need to set a specific login and password. When you choose this method of creating an employee, the following window opens:

1.  Enter the user's first and last name.
2.  Enter the user's email.
3.  Enter the password. The password must contain at least 8 characters, including at least 1 uppercase letter and 1 digit.
4.  Select the employee's role. [More about roles](https://support.swarmica.com/article/en/122-ru.html).
5.  Click **Save** to add the user to the system and go to their card to continue settings.

## Invite a user

This method is recommended for the standard simple procedure of inviting new employees to the system. The employee receives a special invitation by email, follows the link and enters their own data and password.

When you choose this method of creating an employee, the following window opens:

You need to enter the user's email, select their [role](https://support.swarmica.com/article/en/122-ru.html "User rights and roles") and click **Send Invitation**. The user will receive an invitation, and you will be taken to their card to continue settings.
