# Notes and Alerts in Knowledge Base Articles
### What are Notes and Alerts?

Notes are used in Swarmica knowledge base articles to highlight important information with colored backgrounds.

For example, like this:

:::tip
Notes were introduced in Swarmica version v4.3.0. They allow you to **draw attention** to important information for readers.

### How to Create Notes and Alerts?

2. Add the following code block, separated by line breaks above and below:
 ```markdown
:::tip
Here is the note text
:::
```
3. You can now switch back to visual mode by clicking the button ![image](https://support.swarmica.com/attachments/g/F/gFrp_41Pm8Vd2A1V_a/Screenshot_2025-03-02_at_13.31.10.png) again and continue editing the text inside the note.
