# Asset Management
Swarmica allows you to manage Assets such as equipment, VPN keys, etc., and also to add connections between tickets and Assets. This article describes how to set up the system to work with Assets, as well as everyday operations with them.

Assets are divided into types (categories). For example, the type of asset can be 'Laptop', and the asset itself can be a Laptop with serial number 12345.
Additional examples of asset types: Cluster, account, contract.
Examples of assets themselves: cluster RU-NSK-8, corporate account on vk.com, support contract No. 2025-06/123, each of which will belong to a certain type of asset.

To work with assets, you need to enter all asset types, and then the assets themselves, distributing them by type.

## Setting up asset types

In order to distinguish between Assets by their type (for example, 'Laptop', 'Account', 'Cluster', 'Access Point', 'Contract'), it is necessary to set up asset types in <<Settings>>:

1. Go to <<Settings>> > <>Manage Asset Types<>

Also, if necessary, you can indicate the impact of the ticket on this asset:

Example: Ticket 'The router for cluster RU-NSK-8 is broken', add assets 'Router RTR-1234' with impact 'Critical', 'Cluster RU-NSK-8' with impact 'High', and 'Siberia Availability Zone' with impact 'Low'.
