Question
How does the verification and publication of articles occur?
Answer
The article lifecycle is closely tied to KCS agent roles, so let's consider three different situations:
Creation
- An agent with the KCS role of Candidate can create articles only in the Draft status. During this phase, they can choose to include a solution or not.
- A KCS Contributor can create articles directly in the Appoved status, provided there is a verified solution. If there is no solution or if there is uncertainty, the article should be created in the "Draft" status.
- While a Publisher with KCS role can create articles directly in the Published status, it is recommended to create them also in the Approved status (if there is a solution) to reach the threshold of linked tickets.
Verification
- Articles in the Draft status, upon reaching the threshold of linked tickets, are reviewed by agents with the KCS role of Contributor. Their task is to validate the correctness of the provided technical solution. If the solution is correct, the article is moved to the Approved status.
- If the solution is found to be incomplete or incorrect, the Contributor agent can either correct it on the spot;
- Alternatively, they can leave it in the Unapproved status, and other agents, when reusing such an article, should pay special attention to the context of the problem and its solution. They can supplement or correct it if possible and move the article to the Approved status.
Publication
- Articles in the Approved status, upon reaching the threshold of linked tickets, undergo review by agents with the KCS role of Publisher. Their task is to stylize the article according to content standards and move it to the Published status.
- If a Publisher agent discovers an incorrect solution during the publication of the article, they can either correct it on the spot or move it to the Unapporved status.
- Alternatively, they can leave it in the Unapproved status, and other agents, when reusing such an article, should pay special attention to the context of the problem and its solution. They can supplement or correct it if possible and move the article to the Approved status.
