I would like to be able to apply different templates to the articles I create, and therefore have the ability to create and edit them.

Solution

Since version 5.7, which is currently installed, we have added the ability to create your own article templates in Settings - Article Templates.

The template that is selected by default will be used for quickly creating articles from a ticket in the KCS widget.

If you create articles through the Articles tab, you can choose a template:
