#576: Formatting applies to the entire text of the response
Отредактирована: сегодняSymptoms
In the response editor in the ticket, the 'Quote' or 'Code block' formatting applies to the entire text, not just a part of it.
Solution
Divide the text into meaningful blocks that should have different formatting (code, quote, plain text), separating paragraphs with a regular line break (by pressing Enter). Each of these blocks will apply formatting only within its boundaries:
If you need to apply uniform formatting to a block of text while still preserving line breaks within it, use Shift+Enter to create such texts:
Cause
The 'Quote' and 'Code block' text formats operate at the level of a single paragraph (block), not a fragment of it. That is, when selecting the 'Quote' format, the entire paragraph will be formatted as a quote.
If the text is visually divided into paragraphs, but formatting is still applied to the entire text even when only one paragraph is selected, this means that the text contains so-called 'soft line breaks' or soft breaks - line breaks within a single paragraph without separating it into separate paragraphs in the HTML markup. Such soft breaks are set within a single block by pressing Shift+Enter.
