Can the product catalog be made deeper than the standard «product — version — edition — platform» scheme?

The built-in Swarmica catalog uses the «Product» entity with additional attributes «Version», «Edition», and «Platform». These attributes are applied as needed and may vary for different products.

Arbitrary levels of nesting are not provided in this structure. Additional characteristics can be stored in custom fields, but they do not turn the catalog into a multi-level directory with dependent selection.

If a more complex catalog is needed, its model and method of data transfer to Swarmica are designed separately, for example, using an external directory.
