#2185: Additional Blocks on the Ticket Screen

Отредактирована: сегодня

Additional Blocks on the Ticket Screen

In addition to the standard elements of the ticket screen, Swarmica provides optional blocks. They help teams manage assets, track work time, connect requests with external systems, and add specialized information to a ticket.

The list below contains the available block types. Each item links to a detailed article when one is available.

Available block types

  1. Asset management — work with assets associated with tickets and employees.
  2. Time tracking — tracking time spent working on a ticket.
  3. External tickets — creating and viewing requests connected with external systems. Older articles may call this block “outgoing tickets”.
  4. Child tickets — creating related child tickets for separate tasks.
  5. Possible duplicates — displaying tickets that may be duplicates of the current one.
  6. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) — creating and using RCA documents.
  7. Custom widgets — embedding arbitrary widgets in the Swarmica interface.

Feature flags for enabling blocks

To enable a block, activate the corresponding feature flag in the Swarmica configuration. General rules are described in Feature flags (features) in Swarmica.

BlockFeature flagWhat it enables
Asset managementassetsAsset management block.
Time trackingtime_trackingTracking work time on a ticket.
External ticketsexternal_ticketsExternal tickets interface.
Child ticketschild_ticketsRelated child tickets.
Possible duplicates__show_ticket_duplicatesPossible duplicates block.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)rcaRoot Cause Analysis documents.
Custom widgetsui_widgetsEmbedding arbitrary widgets.

Example configuration

Add the required flags to the FEATURES variable in /root/swarmica/.env. Separate flags with commas and do not add spaces. For example:

FEATURES=assets,time_tracking,external_tickets,child_tickets,__show_ticket_duplicates,rca,ui_widgets

After changing the configuration, restart the services:

docker compose down
docker compose up -d

Important

  • Feature availability depends on the license. A feature flag alone is not enough if the feature is not included in the license.
  • This article uses the name “External tickets”. Older materials may call the same block “outgoing tickets”.
